Ismael Baíz is a professional musician who handcrafts drums here in New York City through his company, Maelo Drums. Baíz uses a wide variety of different woods for his drums, selecting the material based on the needs of the musicians who will be performing with them. The nameplates for his drums were laser engraved with his logo in a variety of different hard woods that complement the woods used on the shells.
